Chat

Messages in Chat are visible to everyone in the lesson.

Q&A

Students ask the lecturer questions in the Q&A panel; questions are shared with the class. Lecturers can Reply with an answer for everyone, mark a question Answered, Dismiss it, or Reopen it. Filter by Open, Answered or All.

Polls

1. Open Polls and choose Launch a poll.
2. Type the question and at least two options (Add option for more).
3. Optionally set a Time limit, then click Launch poll.
4. Students vote from a prompt on their screen and see results after voting. Click Close poll when done.

Live quizzes

Live quizzes reuse the questions you already wrote: any quiz task in an assignment or quiz block in a lesson of this course can be run live.

1. Open the Quiz panel and Choose a quiz (assignment quiz or lesson quiz).
2. Set the Time per question and click Start quiz.
3. Students answer each question on their own screen. When the time runs out, everyone sees the correct answer and how the class did. Click Next question to continue.
4. After the last question, click Show results for the class summary. You can stop early at any time with End quiz.

For students: hands and reactions

Use Raise hand to get the lecturer's attention (they see a Hands raised list) and React to send a quick emoji.
